Delicious Weeknight BBQ Chicken And Spinach Naan Pizzas

Ingredients

This recipe uses a few ingredients that you can pick up easily at the grocery store the day of, but you can also make the ingredients from scratch if you prefer.

A shredded rotisserie chicken and some store-bought naan bread are definitely the stars of this recipe, but there are a couple of other ingredients that pack some extra flavor!

This pizza uses BBQ sauce which pairs amazingly with the chicken, spinach, and onion, and you can get away with using as much as you personally prefer.

Some spinach, cheddar cheese, and red onion round out the recipe with some fresh flavors.

Just follow the ingredients below and you’ll be ready to go.

  • 6 small naan bread (store-bought or homemade using your favorite recipe)
  • 1 cup of shredded rotisserie chicken
  • 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Half of a small red onion sliced thinly
  • 1 cup of spinach, roughly chopped

Instructions

First, you’re going to want to preheat your oven to 425F.

Next, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, you can also lightly dust it with flour.

We want the oven to be at the right temperature to melt the cheese quickly and give us some nice browning on top while also crisping up the bottom of the naan.

Now it’s time to prepare the individual pizzas!

It helps to have the ingredients in separate bowls wherever you’re preparing them, so you can quickly top the naan and move to the next one.

You can add more toppings if you’d like, but we felt these were simple, easy, and delicious options that didn’t require a lot of extra preparation.

First, spread the BBQ sauce evenly across each piece of naan bread, there’s definitely wiggle room if you’d prefer more or less.

If you haven’t already, chop the spinach and red onion before you start topping.

Then top with the chicken, onion, spinach, and shredded cheese.

If you’d like you can add a little more BBQ sauce on top of the cheese.

Now you’re ready to start baking them!

Bake them for eight to ten minutes or until the cheese is thoroughly melted.

You can leave them in slightly longer if you’d prefer the onions slightly softer or the cheese with a little browning on top.

Just be careful to not let the bottoms get too done!

Once they’re done, they should easily come off the tray and be ready to serve.

Serve the pizzas warm, you want the cheese to still be melted but cool enough to not cause any potential burns.

Generally, a serving is two BBQ Chicken and Spinach Naan Pizzas, though you can plate with however many you prefer!

A nice touch is to serve with some BBQ sauce on the side since the naan pizzas are small enough to dip easily.

If you’d like a side for the meal, something as simple as potato chips go great with about any pizza, and this one is no exception!
